10 Nicest Things That People Have Done for You
1.) My grandmother raised us as her own children after we lost our mother. I was 17 months old & my brother 3 days old. That was a lot of work for a 52 year old lady to take on. I lived with her till I married at 21; my brother till he passed away at twenty-six.
2.) Mrs. Redmond my fourth grade teacher always encouraged me to write and draw. She kept a special notebook for me in her desk.
3.) The birthday website that Heart made me three years ago. It always makes me smile whenever I look through it.
4.) Years ago a friend, who I had helped with several projects, sent me an incredible Christmas present - ten brand-new one hundred bills in a plain white envelope. The wild thing about that is I had silently wished I had an extra thousand dollars to get through the holidays a week before.
5.) My daughter created a design based on my handle coffeebarchick, and hand-carved & painted it on a wooden plaque.
6.) The many people from my daughter’s church who went to the hospital to pray for my uncle.
7.) All my closest women friends came to my uncle’s funeral; it meant a lot.
8.) My old boss, a devout Jew, came with me to plan my very Catholic uncle’s funeral. He came to the mass too. The priest was sprinkling holy water on people as they entered the church; he got hit with a big splash. Didn’t phase him at all.
9.) The huge collection of young adult books from Sydney when I was eleven.
10.) Heart’s constant encouragement regarding my blogging & photography.

Very sweet blessing you’ve got. It seems when life gets hardest for us, that’s when our “peeps” step up to the plate!

You are so truly blessed.
What a wonderful list of “Nice things”. I really makes you appreciate what you have when it’s listed that way, doesn’t it?
