10 Favorite Things To Complain About
Blogger’s commenting system is top of the list this week.
The lack of really great restaurants in Jersey. Being a life-long New Yorker spoils you in a lot of ways. I spend a lot of time in Jersey, and finding a good restaurant is a chore, especially if you don’t drive.
The New Jersey Transportation System. Too slow. Too expensive.
Cold weather. The older I get the more I hate it.
Reality television shows.
Dropped cell phone calls
Parents who let their kids talk to them any way they like
All the stuff we have to wear in winter. Coats, boots, gloves, scarves, etc. Just too much cargo.
Young people who tattoo and pierce their faces. Guys those scars are permanent.
Ugly signs

10 Television Shows You’d Like to Have (or Have already) on DVD
OWN
Sex and the City - I’ve loved this series from eposode one. The five season series was a Christmas gift to myself.
Freaks & Geeks - I ran across the boxed set of this series while browsing at Best Buy. Guess I liked the name, so I bought it. It was alot fo fun to watch.
Twilight Zone - I don’t own the entire series. Years back my husband joined one of those video clubs where they send you selections every month. He knew I always watched the reruns on late night TV, so he ordered a few of the episodes for me.
WOULD LIKE TO OWN
Fawlty Towers (British)
Are You Being Served? (British)
The Thin Blue Line (British)
notice a trend?
Chef (British)
Absolutely Fabulous (British)
Vicar of Dilby (British)
Desperate Housewives - This will probably be my Christmas present to myself.

10 Things You’d Save in a Fire
My daughter & Husband
Myself!
Family album with daughter’s baby pictures
The big envelope with the birth certificates & stuff
Pocketbook (ohmigosh I have so much stuff in there)
Laptop
Cameras
Well, that’s all I can think of for now.
Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Ten Things You Will NEVER Do Again…
Pay cash for a major purchase - too much grief if something is wrong with it.
Lend friends money
Use the mailboxes that come with DSL or dial up accounts. If you want to switch services it’s a major headache. I use a paid email along with a paid alternative.
Try to highlight/streak my own hair.
Go shopping while I’m any medication. I had an ear infection so bad that my eardrum burst. The pain was so bad the doctor prescribed 5 Vicadan a day. The stuff puts you in orbit. I went shopping - with all my credit cards - think about it.
Not make a duplicate of the original photo before Photoshopping it.
Carry a camera around in a pocketbook with several cellular phones. It can erase all the pictures on the camera.
Use a debit card for a telephone or online purchase. It’s very hard to get the money back - I keep a regular credit card with a small limit for just such purchases.
Have a drink on an empty stomach.
Buy any new type of electronic when it firsts come out. Wait a few months; it will be cheaper and have most of the bugs worked out of it.

10 Nicest Things That People Have Done for You
1.) My grandmother raised us as her own children after we lost our mother. I was 17 months old & my brother 3 days old. That was a lot of work for a 52 year old lady to take on. I lived with her till I married at 21; my brother till he passed away at twenty-six.
2.) Mrs. Redmond my fourth grade teacher always encouraged me to write and draw. She kept a special notebook for me in her desk.
3.) The birthday website that Heart made me three years ago. It always makes me smile whenever I look through it.
4.) Years ago a friend, who I had helped with several projects, sent me an incredible Christmas present - ten brand-new one hundred bills in a plain white envelope. The wild thing about that is I had silently wished I had an extra thousand dollars to get through the holidays a week before.
5.) My daughter created a design based on my handle coffeebarchick, and hand-carved & painted it on a wooden plaque.
6.) The many people from my daughter’s church who went to the hospital to pray for my uncle.
7.) All my closest women friends came to my uncle’s funeral; it meant a lot.
8.) My old boss, a devout Jew, came with me to plan my very Catholic uncle’s funeral. He came to the mass too. The priest was sprinkling holy water on people as they entered the church; he got hit with a big splash. Didn’t phase him at all.
9.) The huge collection of young adult books from Sydney when I was eleven.
10.) Heart’s constant encouragement regarding my blogging & photography.
