Topic: Pumpkin Patch
Do you buy pumpkins?
Not the real ones. It’s too sad to see them shrivel up after they’ve served time as a jack o’ laterns.
I do love plastic ones filled with treats.
Have you ever carved a pumpkin? What did you carve?
I tried to carve a really scarey face, it did not come out well. My brother was the master of pumpkin carving.
Have you ever cooked a pumpkin? If so, what did you make?
I’ve never cook with the traditional Halloween pumpkins; their flesh is too watery for pies and things. They make good soup from what I hear, but I haven’t tried that yet.
I’ve used used other forms of pumpkins like gourds and squash. My favorite is spaghetti squash. It’s a large ovalish gourd that you can boil whole or split in half and roast. The flesh comes out in strands, and looks like spaghetti. A bit of butter and salt and you are good to go.
This week I decided to try some new memes.
